For the most part, this show pays tribute to the exceptional music I keep finding that connects back to Monte La Rue, the puckishly self-aware, self-described king of lounge (see Discogs for his tribute to Robert Palmer's Pressure Drop album cover from the late 70s, for a taste of his tongue-in-cheek approach to identity.)
The show begins with a gem from Simple Minds off their 1984 Sparkle in the Rain vinyl, defining 'ample rhythm' 80s style likewise the "Equal Dreams" tune from Rewards, tho of current vintage, brings back that bright jangly 80s sound as well. Rounding out this 80-min set are blog picks courtesy of RCDLBL, a crucial site for keeping us current. Finally, the show's title honors go to J-Boogie's Dubtronic Science, based on a bit of the lyric from "Dirty Dub" and there you have it: Ample Rhythm for your every need.
