R&B, Hip Hop and Dancehall are some of the main ingredients that make up the foundation of Hilal "DJ Hilalo" Rayes's long DJ-ing history, dating back to 1991. His DJ residencies and guest spots have taken him to countless clubs, raves and bar lounges in both countries (Sweden & UK), including his landmark world music & urban nights weekly, at bar Havana 'Deansgate' (8+ years on Wednesdays) & Tiggis 'Trafford Center' (6 years - Thursdays/Fridays & Saturdays) in Manchester.
His sets are best described as infectious as he mixes the old and new, or cross genres. There is always an element of surprise in his sets, reflected best through his enthusiasm in combining 2-step + funky house, Rap + RnB and Bashment + Reggaeton.
DJ Hilalo is currently playing for various students' international societies, and club-nights all around the UK including his weekly residency spot @ PURE Club 'The Printworks' every Saturday in Arena 2.
