Been mixing for 5 years now and slowly but sure i've become more musically aware and more consistent with my mixes , tho most of my friends have heard my mixes there is a greater field of ears to be had.
Mostly a house Guy but often i play Trance, Techno , Electro , and a small bit of Dub Step and drum and bass
always trying to promote sounds to the different crowds, playing DnB and house mixes of the same track makes it more appealing to those who maybe don't like the original.
