In the Beginning .........
Simon began DJing at 16 years of age in a quiet backwater Oooop North, where he learned how to mix things called records made from vinyl, on even stranger things called turntables – known as record players. Two years later in 1987 he became a Professional DJ after being given a nightclub residency. He was soon approached by a newly formed company called Luminar Leisure, asking him to take on a permanent residency at a new flagship nightclub on the south-coast. In 1988 Simon also reached the semi-finals of Celestion DJ of the Year.
After that ..............
We jump a few years and Simon is now living and working in Ibiza as the dance music explosion really takes off with the initial Ibiza Foam Parties at Kaoos (now called Eden). At the end of the 1996 season Simon helped devise the original concept that became the legendary Sundance Festival with a tester Event - It was to be an all day/night open air dance event with three dance arena’s – The Sundance Festival (Officially launched in 1997) saw Simon work alongside the biggest name DJs in the industry. In 1998 Simon was solely responsible for creating the ‘Oblivion’ Club Night in Kavos, Greece, tying it in with the Sundance still going on back in Ibiza – Simon was also the only person to actively feature in both Sky One’s ‘Ibiza Uncovered’ and ‘Greece Uncovered’ television programmes.

Over the past few years Simon has brought his passion for music into the Mobile Industry, his fresh approach helping dispel the stigma often attached to old fashioned Mobile Disco’s and DJs. Simon is currently a full time Professional DJ, combining Mobile Disco work with commercial DJing.In the Mobile Disco arena Simon covers a variety of events.
Commercially, there are a couple of things on the back burner simply because of his busy schedule including a 'ShAmBoLic' club night which is specifically designed to create full and fun dance-floors with a mixture big beats and forthcoming chart dance mixes, with surprise elements thrown in. Then there's the alter ego of SlimBoy fAt - but that is another story for another time .........
