About Me
DJ MIGGS is my alter ego to share my passion for the music industry and music in general. I approach every event with a professional approach from the set up of equipment to the music played to host a quality function. The simplest of things like setting up neatly and professionally, being early for the set up to ensure that there are no glitches or hiccups makes or breaks a function. I have worked for a lot of companies that have given me the insight to know what not to do and how to recover from an unexpected problem. My main aim is to use all the knowledge I have gained to perfect my art and passion. My aim is to build a client base solely on word of mouth which I believe is the best form of advertising and I believe that’s what makes the difference between longevity and a fly by night DJ’s in this business.
DJ MIGGS has been in the business for 13 years and has done various functions such as the Rox Energy Launch party at La Toscana at Monte Casino. I completed a DJ course at the DJ academy in Melrose Arch in vinyl Dj'ing. I was trained by various big names like DJ Cleo & Lino B. I completed the coarse in vinyl Dj'ing. I then completed a 2 year stay at the legendary Good 4 Fellas in Hatfield, my 2 mentors were DJ LJ (A.K.A DJ Vlies) and DJ Nick “ The Greekâ€Â. From here on end I moved onto doing mobile DJ work for companies such as Mr. Music owned by Martin Lane, Shattered Glass Discos and Macs Music. I have enjoyed every single second I have spent in this industry and I give my best at every function to make every function memorable for the hosts and guests. Through the years working with various companies I have had the privilege of doing work for awesome companies. This list includes MNET, Standard Bank, Barloworld Motor Retail, First National Bank, Business Connexion, ABSA, Kodak, Rox Energy Drink, Momentum, Sun International and Off The Wall Promotions plus various others. I recently competed in the Ariera DJ comp 2011, it went very well and the crowd digged my set and also did a night at LIV Bedfordview with a wicked old school set.
I look forward to giving my clients and guests the best of the best and honestly just doing the basics right. I will also be venturing into producing some of my own tracks and offering music production to artists.
