Trance classics meet the new generation once again! Episode 3 of the Captivating series goes back to the start of the new millennium and from there to today's trance music. The set starts gentle with the laidback vocal tracks of Way Out West, Jos Amnesia & Jennifer Rene and the epic progressive tune "Apollo Vibes" by Pole Folder & CP.
Although opinions are diverse, Omnia & IRA's "The Fusion" hits the right spot with that very catchy and massive sounding melody! After this, things calm down again, but only for just a bit smile The first 65 minutes are closed with one of Armin's better tunes - altough not stricly full on trance, "Wall Of Sound" brings a good combination of trance sounds, a breakbeat and wonderfull vocals by Justine Suissa (OceanLab) and followed by the wonderfull beatless intro of "The New World" by Markus Schulz.
The second part of this 2 hours set is more energetic with uplifting tracks by Way Out West, Whiteroom, Johan Gielen, Lange & Gareth Emery and Tisto. Push's "Strange World" in the 2006 MIKE rework blends quite nicely with the RMB gem "Deep Down Below". One of the most notable Trance tracks of all time is Motorcycle's "As The Rush Comes" in the Gabriel & Dresden remix - the track arrangement and vocals by Jes Brieden are superb, therefore nearly the full duration is mixed into this set!
Captivating 03 closes with one of my all time favorites: Airwave's "Ladyblue" in the 1992 Flight version - goosebumps everytime!
Enjoy!
